Samantha Taylor is a Senior Lecturer in Forensic Science at the School of Science, University of Greenwich. She joined the institution in July 2018 as a Forensic Technician, transitioned to Lecturer in Forensic Science in May 2019, and was promoted to Senior Lecturer in October 2022. Alongside her academic role, she maintains active forensic practice as a consultant.
Her research focuses on forensic archaeology, anthropology, and ecology within mass fatality contexts. She has contributed to high-profile international cases involving human remains identification, earning personal commendation from the Metropolitan Police Commissioner. Her professional development includes Chartered Institute for Archaeologists Practitioner accreditation and pursuit of Royal Anthropological Institute certification for human identification work.
