Samantha Laporte is an Assistant Professor in English Linguistics at the University of Lille, affiliated with the Faculty of Languages, Cultures, and Societies and the Department of Anglophone Studies.
Her research focuses on the cognitive representation of language through corpus linguistics and construction grammar, particularly in English as first, second, and foreign language. She investigates how grammar emerges from use and explores the link between social and cognitive dimensions of language.
