Samantha Faubert is a Lecturer at the University of Le Havre, affiliated with the ERIAC (Research Institute for American and Caribbean Cultures) at the University of Rouen Normandy. Her research focuses on literary translation, theater studies, and Hispanic literature, particularly the works of Ramón del Valle-Inclán and Griselda Gambaro. She holds a Doctorate in Spanish and has published extensively on topics including theatrical translation, self-translation, and cultural studies.
Her scholarly activities include co-organizing conferences such as the 2009 'Self-portrait and Otherness' colloquium and the 2007 'Textual Approaches' study day. She has taught courses on contemporary Spanish and Latin American literature, textual analysis, and dissertation management. Current projects involve studies on Valle-Inclán's European translations and a collaborative conference on Argentine women in politics (1930-1985).
Publications span peer-reviewed journals like Revue de théâtre Coulisses and Chréode, as well as chapters in edited volumes addressing translation theory, cultural synthesis, and historical texts. Her work bridges literary analysis with translation practices, emphasizing the interplay between language, culture, and authorship.
