Sam Zulu is a Professor of Construction and Project Management and Postgraduate Research Coordinator at the School of Built Environment, Engineering and Computing, Leeds Beckett University. He holds chartered statuses (MCIOB, MRICS) and is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA). His academic journey includes roles at Nottingham Trent University (UK) and Copperbelt University (Zambia).
Education: BSc Building Science, MSc Construction Project Management, PhD Construction Project Management.
Research focuses on digitalisation and sustainability challenges in construction project management, with emphasis on organisational studies, BIM adoption, and sustainable delivery. His £2.92M externally funded projects include the Innovate UK-backed Auto-BIM initiative. He teaches at UG/PG levels in project management, financial/commercial management, and research methods.
Active in academic leadership: Editorial Board member for Built Environment Project and Asset Management, ARCOM committee member, and conference committee roles at SEEDS and CIB conferences.
