Dr. Sam McBean is a Professor and Co-Head of English at Queen Mary University of London's School of English and Drama. Specializing in Gender, Sexuality, and Contemporary Culture, he holds a BA from McGill University, an MSc from the London School of Economics, and a PhD from Birkbeck, University of London. His research focuses on feminist and queer theory, contemporary literature, and digital technologies. He previously served as a Lecturer at Birkbeck and a Visiting Fellow at the LSE, and was a Humboldt Foundation Research Fellow (2019/2020).
