Liz McBean is a Visiting Lecturer in the Department of Russian, East European, and Eurasian Studies at Bowdoin College. Her current teaching includes RUS 1102 (Elementary Russian II) and a cross-listed course (RUS 2315/GSWS 2315) on Love, Sex, and Desire in Russian Literature and Culture.

Research interests focus on Russian cultural studies with emphases on literary analysis and gender studies, reflected in her course offerings that examine cultural narratives around love and identity.
