Sam Imperati serves as a Pro Tem Instructor at the University of Oregon School of Law, teaching courses in Facilitation. He is the Executive Director of ICMresolutions, a firm specializing in dispute resolution, mediation, and facilitation services. His expertise spans policy, politics, and law, with notable projects including environmental dispute resolution and Oregon prescription drug pricing transparency initiatives.
Education: B.A. from the University of Santa Clara, J.D. from UC Davis.
Research interests focus on mediation ethics, leadership, negotiation, and decision-making. He has taught at Willamette University’s MBA program and Lewis & Clark Law School, and trains nationally on ADR topics. Professional roles include former Judge Pro Tempore, corporate attorney at Nike, and private practice. Active in Oregon’s ADR community, he has chaired the Oregon State Bar’s ADR Section and contributed to mediator certification standards.
