Sam Efromovich is the Cecil and Ida Green Endowed Professor in the Department of Mathematical Sciences at the University of Texas at Dallas (UT Dallas), within the School of Natural Sciences and Mathematics. He holds a Ph.D. (1978) and M.S. (1974) in Physics from Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology. His research focuses on statistical inference, time series analysis, information theory, optimization, probability, nonparametric curve estimation, and actuarial science. He has authored over 200 publications and two books, including Nonparametric Curve Estimation (1999) and Missing and Modified Data in Nonparametric Statistics (2018).
