Professor Salman Siddiqui is a Clinical Professor of Respiratory and Experimental Medicine at Imperial College London's National Heart & Lung Institute (Faculty of Medicine). He also serves as an honorary NHS consultant at Imperial Healthcare Trust, specializing in severe asthma and eosinophilic lung disease (EGPA). Key leadership roles include:

- NIHR-TRC National Asthma Research Strategy Group Lead
- European Respiratory Society Clinical Research Collaborations Director
Research Interests focus on:
- Experimental Medicine for type-2 immune dysfunction in severe asthma and EGPA
- Digital Lung Twins (computational airway models for small airways disease)
- Anti-alarmin therapies targeting TSLP in EGPA
- Volatilomics (breath and tissue headspace analysis)
- Bioengineering of synthetic olfactory nano-sensor arrays
Current projects include MRC-funded cyclic-IMS ambient volatilomics and Asthma UK/BLF diagnostic device development. He leads the BIOREME EPSRC Network Plus program for multiscale lung modeling.
