معرفی
Sally El Meragawi is a Research Fellow in the Department of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering at Monash University, Faculty of Engineering. Her research focuses on advanced nanomaterials for energy and environmental applications, with recent publications in high-impact journals such as ACS Nano, Small, and Nanoscale.
Her research interests span nanomaterials, energy storage (particularly Zn-MnO₂ and sodium-ion batteries), graphene oxide engineering, MXenes, and 2D materials for sensing and environmental remediation. She is actively involved in developing scalable synthesis methods and functional materials for sustainable technologies.
Recent research outputs highlight her contributions to tailored nanochannels for PFAS removal, surface modification strategies for battery electrodes, continuous production of holey graphene oxides, and mixed-phase MoS₂ for gas sensing. These works reflect a strong trend toward functionalization and application of 2D materials in energy and environmental contexts.
Sally El Meragawi collaborates extensively with Professor Mainak Majumder and other researchers across materials science and engineering disciplines. Her work contributes to UN Sustainable Development Goals related to clean energy and clean water.
