Saleh Siddiq

Saleh Siddiq is a doctoral student at the Institute of Musicology at the University of Vienna, where he researches the perception of musical timbres within a third-party project funded by the Austrian National Bank's Anniversary Fund. He also teaches courses such as "Psychoacoustics and Hearing Physiology" at the Music and Arts Private University of the City of Vienna (MUK) and contributes to the "Optometry & Hearing Acoustics Initiative" (OHI).

His research spans musical acoustics, psychoacoustics, music psychology, and audiology, with additional interests in blues/jazz history, theory, and music production. At the Institute for Musical Acoustics – Viennese Sound Style (IWK) at MUK, he develops specialist literature databases. His work bridges auditory science with artistic practice, focusing on timbre perception and hearing physiology.
