معرفی
Dr. Salah Mansour is an Associate Professor in Medicine at the University of Southampton, leading research on CD1 molecule-mediated immunity, focusing on unconventional T cells and lipid antigen presentation. His work spans tuberculosis, cancer, and autoimmune diseases, with active funding from CRUK, MRC, and others. Collaborations include computational chemists, structural biologists, and clinical partners like Public Health England and the Francis Crick Institute.
Research Interests: Unconventional T cell biology, CD1-restricted immunity, lipid antigen presentation mechanisms, and translational approaches to develop diagnostics and therapies. Projects include investigating CD1c lipid antigens in cancer and TB, and iNKT cell roles in diabetes.
Teaching: Leads BM4 Year Two assessments, the Infection and Immunity module for the integrated PhD, and teaches drug design in NATS3006. External roles include conference speaking on TB and CD1c research (e.g., 2016, 2021).
Collaborations: Strong ties with King’s College London, Africa Research Institute (Durban), and computational groups at Southampton. Labs focus on interdisciplinary approaches bridging basic science and clinical applications.
