Sairah Ahmed

Sairah Ahmed, M.D., serves as Associate Professor in the Department of Lymphoma/Myeloma within the Division of Cancer Medicine at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, where she also directs the CART Program focused on cellular immunotherapy for hematologic malignancies.

Her research centers on advancing treatments for lymphoma and multiple myeloma through innovative immunotherapeutic approaches, particularly CAR T-cell therapy which genetically engineers patients' immune cells to target cancer. This work addresses critical needs in relapsed and refractory blood cancers, positioning her at the forefront of translational hematology-oncology research.

As CART Program Director, Dr. Ahmed leads multidisciplinary teams in clinical trial design and implementation, driving the development of next-generation cellular therapies while maintaining active patient care responsibilities evidenced by strong clinical ratings (4.9/5 from 128 patient surveys).
