Saima Kayani

Dr. Saima Kayani is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center's Department of Pediatrics. Her expertise lies at the intersection of Child Neurology and Medical Genetics, with a focus on understanding and treating rare neurogenetic disorders. Board-certified in Pediatrics and Neurology, she has conducted clinical and translational research to advance therapies for children with complex conditions. Her work includes clinical care in the Rare Brain Disorders Clinic at Children’s Medical Center and collaborative rodent-based laboratory studies on genetic and physiological mechanisms of rare diseases.
