Saikat Pal

Saikat Pal is an Associate Professor of Bio-Medical Engineering at NJIT, where he directs the Computational Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation Engineering (CORE) Lab and the Life Sciences Motion Capture (LSMC) Lab. His research focuses on understanding human movement mechanics, musculoskeletal disorders, and developing assistive technologies for patients with spinal cord injuries and cerebral palsy. He emphasizes interdisciplinary collaboration, leveraging motion capture systems and multiscale computational models to decode complex biomechanical phenomena.

Education: PhD (2008), MS (2004), and BS (2002) in Mechanical and Computer Engineering from the University of Denver.
