Sahiti Myneni

Dr. Sahiti Myneni serves as Associate Professor in the Department of Clinical and Health Informatics at UTHealth Houston's McWilliams School of Biomedical Informatics, where she also directs translational initiatives as Associate Director of the Center for Digital Health and Analytics and holds a CPRIT Innovation Scholar appointment.

Current projects combat health misinformation using agile interdisciplinary methods and advance chronic disease management through the Digilego framework, which optimizes patient engagement via IoT-integrative clinical pathways grounded in behavioral theory.

Recent publications (2015-2023) demonstrate consistent focus on leveraging digital tools for health equity, with increasing emphasis on multimodal data fusion (social media + wearables) and real-time intervention deployment. Her work spans clinical domains including diabetes, smoking cessation, peripartum depression, and pandemic response, consistently addressing health disparities through informatics innovation.

Research funding is secured from premier agencies including NLM, NCI, AHRQ, and CPRIT, supporting collaborative projects with clinical partners. She actively mentors through CPRIT's cancer prevention training program and serves as scientific reviewer for NIH, NSF, and Dutch Research Council.
