Sahidi Bilan

Dr. Sahidi Bilan serves as Senior Lecturer and Programme Manager for undergraduate business courses at the University of Sunderland, where he manages, plans and coordinates all teaching, learning and research activities with his team.

His educational background includes:

• PhD in philosophy, political science and sociology from RWTH Aachen University, Germany
• Two MBAs, from the University of Sunderland and Anglia Ruskin University in London
• MA in Marketing and Innovation

Dr. Bilan's research focuses on The Ultimate Foundation of Knowledge (Letztbegründung) and The Grounding of Ethics. His interdisciplinary research interests span business disciplines and philosophical inquiry:

• Sociology
• International relations and trade
• Philosophy of the mind
• Discourse ethics

His doctoral research developed a systematic approach to understanding Hegel's 'Science of Logic', one of the most difficult books in western philosophy. As Programme Manager, he oversees the academic direction and quality of undergraduate business programs at the University of Sunderland.
