Sage Dawson is a Senior Lecturer and Area Coordinator for Foundations at the Sam Fox School of Design & Visual Arts, Washington University in St. Louis. Her artistic and curatorial work critically examines urban politics, labor, and vernacular architecture through analog production methods like sewing and printmaking. She co-directs STNDRD and NON STNDRD, public art spaces in Granite City, IL and the National Building Arts Center.
Educated at the University of New Mexico (MFA, 2000s) and Missouri State University (BFA, 2000s), Dawson has exhibited nationally and internationally, with solo shows including Pattern Storage (2023) and Up From The Archives (2022). Her work appears in Art in America and Elephant Magazine.

- Residencies: Cité international des arts (Paris), Vermont Studio Center, Tamarind Institute
Her research focuses on care as protest, invisible urban borders, and domestic labor aesthetics. Current projects explore the materiality of built environments through textile-based installations and collaborative urban interventions.
