معرفی
Sagar Chowdhury is a Research Fellow at the Department of Physics and Astronomy, University of Iowa, where he develops quantum emitters and detectors through material growth, device design, fabrication, and characterization. His work includes epitaxial growth, lithography, and optical measurements in advanced photonics.
Education:
- PhD in Physics from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras, India
- MSc and BSc in Physics from Visva-Bharati, Santiniketan, India
His research spans quantum photonics, molecular beam epitaxy (MBE) growth, electron beam lithography, and femtosecond laser machining. He specializes in confocal microscopy and defect engineering in diamond for applications in single-photon emitters and magnetometry.
At the University of Iowa, Sagar collaborates with Prof. Prineas and Prof. Uppu, leveraging ultrafast light-matter interactions for diamond structuring and quantum device development. He is based at the Iowa Advanced Technology Laboratories (IATL) in Iowa City, Iowa, United States, and can be contacted at 319-512-9203.
