Saeed Fayaz is a Senior Lecturer in Sports Medicine at the University of Sunderland. With over 25 years of academic experience, he specializes in teaching and research related to sports injury prevention and musculoskeletal disorders. His clinical background complements his academic work, focusing on diagnosis and consultation in musculoskeletal health.

Research Interests: Prevention of musculoskeletal sports injuries, particularly in shoulder, knee, and lower back regions. Key sub-areas include shoulder muscle imbalance in throwing/racket sports, knee landing mechanics linked to ligament injuries, and lower back pain in sedentary lifestyles and repetitive spinal twist sports like cricket.
Teaching Modules: Sports Injury, Sports Medicine, Clinical Anatomy.
Previous Employment: Taught musculoskeletal assessment to medical students at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Glasgow, and conducted clinical biomechanics instruction for physiotherapy students.
