Sabrina CHIKH serves as Associate Professor in the Finance department at SKEMA Business School's Paris campus, specializing in corporate governance, sustainable finance, and behavioral finance. Her academic journey began with a Master in Supply Chain Management from SKEMA (2004), followed by a Master in Finance and PhD in Finance from the University of Lille (2005, 2010).
Her research examines critical intersections between financial systems and sustainability, with particular focus on how eco-efficiency metrics influence merger valuations and whether carbon disclosure practices create competitive advantages. Early work analyzed CEO power dynamics in French corporate networks, evolving into contemporary investigations of environmental performance in capital markets. Recent publications reveal a methodological shift toward empirical analysis of carbon emission data, with growing emphasis on regulatory implications of behavioral finance principles.
Professor CHIKH's publication trajectory demonstrates increasing engagement with environmental finance, culminating in multiple high-impact studies between 2017-2021 that establish eco-efficiency as a measurable driver of financial performance. Her work bridges theoretical finance with practical sustainability metrics, particularly through analysis of Carbon Disclosure Project datasets.
Her scholarly recognition includes:
- Best Teaching Innovation award from SKEMA Business School (2019)
- SAB Trophy for eco-efficiency valuation research (2013)
She actively contributes to academic discourse as proofreader for Research in International Business and Finance and Finance journals, organized the 2021 ELLISPHERE conference, and maintains professional affiliations with EFMA (2010-present), AFFI (2005-2012), and IFA. As a core member of the SKEMA Centre for Global Risks, she integrates environmental risk analysis into financial research frameworks.
