Farooq Ahmad is an Associate Professor of Finance at SKEMA Business School, France, with research expertise in Empirical Corporate Finance, Corporate Governance, International Finance, Mergers and Acquisitions, National Culture, Labor Market Institutions, and CEO Behavior. His work has been published in top-tier journals including the Review of Financial Studies and Journal of Banking & Finance.

Between 2023–2025, his articles emphasize the role of political systems, board governance, and environmental factors in global M&A trends, with keywords spanning Finance, Corporate Governance, and Environmental Economics. He was a finalist for the 2018 FMA Asia-Pacific Best Paper Award and received multiple AFFI Best Paper Awards (2017, 2022) and SKEMA's 2022 Most Productive Scholar Award.
