Prof. Dr. Marko Sabovljević is a Full Professor and Scientific Advisor at the Department of Plant Ecology and Geography, Faculty of Biology, University of Belgrade. He specializes in bryophyte biology, ecology, biogeography, and environmental protection.
- Education: PhD in Science (2006) from the University of Bonn, Germany; MSc (2003) and BSc (2000) in Biology from the University of Belgrade.
His research focuses on genetic distances, phylogeography, and conservation of moss populations in Europe, particularly in regions like Vojvodina and the Deliblat Sandstones. He has been affiliated with the Faculty of Biology since 2000, progressing from Assistant to Full Professor in 2019.
