Sabine Witt is a Lecturer at the Lucerne School of Business (HSLU), affiliated with the Institute of Communication and Marketing (IKM). She also serves as Diversity-Beauftragte (Diversity Officer) for HSLU-Wirtschaft. Her educational background includes a Lic. phil. in German Studies and History from the University of Zurich, followed by a Dr. phil. from the University of Bern, focusing on the cultural practices of nationalist intellectuals in Slovakia (1918–45).
Professionally, Witt has held roles as a freelance journalist since 1998, a project coordinator at Pro Helvetia (2004–2007), and a researcher for the Nationalfondsprojekt at the University of Bern (2004–2007). Her teaching career began in 2012 at HSLU, emphasizing Business Communication in German.
Her research interests span business communication, social welfare dynamics, cultural studies, and historical analysis. Notable projects include investigating poverty-related social dynamics, video-based professional training for business contexts, and the INNOwood initiative exploring sustainable forest-resource utilization. She is also engaged in improving accessibility of social welfare information through digital mediums.
Witt’s publications include monographs on Slovak nationalist intellectuals and edited volumes on interdisciplinary communication challenges. She actively participates in conferences and publishes across academic journals, focusing on topics like inclusive communication, risk dialogue, and historical media analysis.
