معرفی
Sabine Martha Lang is an Associate Research Scientist in the Department of Pathology at Yale School of Medicine. She holds a PhD in Virology from the University of Erlangen, an MS in Biochemistry, and a BS in Biology from the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg. Her research focuses on cancer biology, particularly breast cancer and melanoma, using mouse models to identify therapeutic targets for tumorigenesis and metastasis. She also serves as the lab manager for the Yan Lab.
- Education:
- PhD, University of Erlangen, Virology (1992)
- MS, University of Erlangen-Nuremberg, Biochemistry (1988)
- BS, University of Erlangen-Nuremberg, Biology (1985)
Her research interests span cancer immunology, viral protein mechanisms, and vaccine development. Key areas include studying histone demethylases' role in immune suppression, mitochondrial DNA stress effects on antiviral responses, and mechanisms of drug resistance in HER2-targeted therapies.
Her publications highlight contributions to understanding metastatic pathways, immune evasion strategies of viruses, and therapeutic vulnerabilities in cancer. She collaborates with prominent researchers like Qin Yan, Akiko Iwasaki, and David Rimm.
Outside her lab work, she manages a family farm and enjoys activities with her dogs, hiking, and gardening.
