Sabine Foraita

Prof. Dr. Sabine Foraita is Professor of Design Science and Design Theory at HAWK University of Applied Sciences and Arts, where she has served since 2006. She currently holds the position of Dean of the Faculty of Design and has been a board member of the German Society for Design Theory and Research (DGTF) since 2011. Her academic work establishes the theoretical foundation for design practice and education.

• Magister Artium in Art and Design (1998)
• PhD (Dr. phil.) with dissertation: "Borderline – das Verhältnis von Kunst und Design aus der Perspektive des Design" (2005)

Her research examines the intersection of artistic practice and design methodology, particularly exploring theoretical frameworks that inform contemporary design education. She contributes to the B.A. Design program focusing on foundational theory and interdisciplinary competencies.
