Sabina Kołodziej is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Economic Psychology at Kozminski University. She leads a research project funded by Poland’s National Science Centre to develop Poland’s first tool measuring attitudes toward taxes. She collaborates with the University of Warsaw’s Robert Zajonc Institute for Social Studies (Economic Research Team) since 2011. Her research focuses on economic psychology, including financial decision-making and psychological determinants of tax compliance. She has secured grants from Poland’s National Science Centre and the Operational Programme of European Cross-Border Cooperation. Her email is skolodziej@kozminski.edu.pl.
Her research interests include tax compliance mechanisms, ethical dimensions of accounting decisions, and the psychological underpinnings of financial behavior. Recent work explores normative reminders in reducing tax non-compliance, the impact of charity on tax cheating, and procedural fairness in tax authority decisions. Her experimental studies often bridge behavioral economics and policy implications.
Collaborations with interdisciplinary teams at the Robert Zajonc Institute emphasize applied research in behavioral economics and tax policy. Her publications span tax morality, decision-making under risk, and cross-cultural studies of economic attitudes.
