Sabih OVALI is an Associate Professor in the Department of Textile Engineering at Adiyaman University, Faculty of Engineering. He holds a BSc from Çukurova University (2012), MSc and PhD from Marmara University (2015 and 2020). His research focuses on composite structures, biopolymers, biocomposites, and knitting technology applications. He has worked as a Research Assistant at Marmara University (2015–2018) and currently serves as the Deputy Head of the Textile Engineering Department since 2023.
Key research areas include natural fiber-reinforced composites, thermal and mechanical properties of materials, and sustainable textile applications. He has authored/co-authored over 18 peer-reviewed articles and presented at international conferences. His work has been recognized with TÜBİTAK publication incentives. He teaches courses such as Occupational Health and Safety, Materials Science, and Technical Textiles.
Recent projects involve developing eco-friendly composites from agricultural byproducts (e.g., bamboo, Sorghum bicolor) and optimizing yarn production for sustainability. His publications span journals like Polymers, Cellulose, and Journal of Thermoplastic Composite Materials.
