Sabi Kaphle

Sabi Kaphle is a Senior Lecturer in Public Health at the School of Health, Medical and Applied Sciences, Central Queensland University. She holds affiliations with the Institute for Future Farming Systems, Appleton Institute, First Nations Academy, and Jawun Research Centre. With over 20 years of global health sector experience, she specializes in prevention and population health, cross-cultural community engagement, and strategic leadership. Her work emphasizes a community-centric approach to address health inequities.

Education: PhD and Master of Public Health from Flinders University, Australia; Master of Education and Bachelor of Nursing/Midwifery from Nepal. She has mentored numerous PhD projects leveraging her cross-cultural expertise.

Research focuses on cultural studies (gender, migration), Aboriginal health, and community child health. Current supervision accreditation spans anthropology, health systems, public health, and Pacific/Indigenous health.

Publications highlight issues like gender-based violence in agriculture, refugee resettlement challenges, and digital discourse on domestic violence during pandemics. She actively contributes to professional networks as Co-Chair of Women's Health In the North Board of Governance.
