Dr. Saadia Irfan is a Lecturer in Accounting and Finance at Swansea University's School of Management, part of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. She holds a PhD in Finance from the University of Leicester. Her research focuses on earnings management, corporate governance, corporate misconduct, crash risk, climate risk, and financial reporting. She has prior experience as an Assistant Professor of Finance at NUST Business School before joining Swansea in 2023.
Dr. Irfan teaches modules such as Finance for Economics and Equities and Fixed Income Securities. Her recent work examines the impact of financial reporting quality on investment efficiency in frontier markets and the role of cybersecurity risks in corporate finances. She has contributed to case studies in the petroleum industry and has been involved in projects like the 'Assessment of public sector accounting systems and practices in Pakistan' (2022–2023).
