Imtiaz Badshah is an Associate Professor at the Department of Economics, Innovation and Society, Østfold University College (HiØ), Norway. He previously served as an Assistant Professor at NUST Business School (Pakistan) and held visiting roles at institutions like the University of South-Eastern Norway and Quaid-i-Azam University. His academic journey includes a PhD in Accounting from Nord University (Norway), an MPhil in Public Administration from the University of Bergen, and a master’s in Public Administration from Quaid-i-Azam University.
His research focuses on governance reforms, management accounting, financial markets, and public sector dynamics, with notable work on Pakistan’s civil service reforms and financial reporting practices. He has contributed to over 20 peer-reviewed articles, book chapters, and conference proceedings, addressing topics like risk management in emerging markets, Islamic finance, and institutional investment behavior.
Badshah has held administrative roles, including Program Coordinator for Business Analysis and PhD Coordinator at NUST. His collaborations span institutions in Norway, China, UAE, and Pakistan. He has presented at international conferences such as the European Business and Economics Society (EBES) and co-organized initiatives like the Scandinavian Management and Emerging Economies (SMALE) project.
His teaching spans courses in international finance, corporate finance, and accounting, using core textbooks by authors like Berk, DeMarzo, and Mishkin.
