Sa'ad Ali is a Senior Lecturer in Leadership and Management at the College of Business, Law and Social Sciences. His research focuses on informal networks (wasta), cross-cultural HR practices, and organizational behavior in Middle Eastern contexts. Key areas include gender dynamics in workplace networks, corporate heritage branding, and leadership ethics in collectivist societies.
Recent work investigates how informal networks like wasta operate in Lebanon and Saudi Arabia, and their ethical implications. He has collaborated on projects funded by the European Commission, exploring intercultural competencies and skills development for graduates.
