Steven Constable is a Professor of Geophysics at the Institute of Geophysics and Planetary Physics (IGPP) within the Scripps Institution of Oceanography at UC San Diego. He specializes in electrical conductivity studies of Earth’s crust and mantle, seafloor instrumentation development, and geophysical data analysis. His research focuses on understanding tectonic processes, subduction zone dynamics, and marine geohazards through electromagnetic methods.
