SOLENE BECHU

Solène Bechu is a Researcher at the National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS) affiliated with the Lavoisier Institute of Versailles (ILV) at the University of Versailles Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines. Since 2019, she has held this position within the Faculty of Sciences, focusing on interdisciplinary research in materials chemistry. Her work bridges fundamental and applied aspects of semiconductor materials, with a focus on aging mechanisms and etching techniques.

Education includes a PhD in Materials Science from the University of Nantes (2016), followed by postdoctoral roles at the ILV and the Photovoltaic Institute of Île-de-France. She also held a teaching assistant position at the Nantes Jean Rouxel Institute of Materials and industry experience at Merck Chemical Ltd. in the UK.

Research interests center on evaluating aging factors (humidity, temperature, light) for semiconductors in electronics and photovoltaics, and developing innovative wet-chemical etching solutions. Expertise includes techniques like XPS, ICP-OES, and SEM-EDS.

Key projects include the ANR-funded ADECS (2022–2026) and HOTMWIR (2019–2023), alongside Nano2022–HELIXIR (2019–2022). Her contributions advance material durability and surface engineering for renewable energy applications.
