His research focuses on Yiddish language, language history, and literature, with particular emphasis on philological analysis, historical linguistics, and textual criticism of Yiddish sources. Neuberg's work frequently explores the intersection of language evolution and Ashkenazi cultural history, examining manuscripts, early printed texts, and linguistic phenomena across different historical periods.
Recent publications demonstrate a consistent focus on Yiddish philology and historical linguistics, with frequent examination of manuscripts from the 15th-18th centuries. His 2021-2024 works specifically investigate lexical evolution, syntactic structures, and sociocultural contexts of Yiddish texts, maintaining a strong tradition of rigorous textual analysis while incorporating contemporary methodological approaches to historical language studies.
