Róisin Costello is an Assistant Professor of EU and International Law at Trinity College Dublin (TCD), with prior roles at Maynooth University and Dublin City University. She holds advanced degrees from TCD, the Honorable Society of Kings Inns, Sciences Po Paris, and Georgetown Law. Her research focuses on EU law (privacy/data protection, constitutionalism), minority language rights, and law's intersection with literature.
Her work has been funded by the Irish Research Council, ESRC, and AHRC, among others. Key publications include *Privacy Law in Ireland* (2023), *Law in Irish Literature* (2024), and co-authored/co-edited volumes on GDPR and data protection. She has also delivered invited talks at institutions like the University of Liverpool and the Irish Centre for European Law.
Róisin’s awards include a Georgetown Law Fellowship (2014–2015) and an International Student Scholarship. She actively advises prospective PhD students and researchers in EU law, data protection, and minority rights. Her grants include support from SLSA, SLS, and the Department of Foreign Affairs for language rights projects.
