Róbert Ďurka is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Psychology, Faculty of Arts and Letters, Catholic University in Ružomberok. He holds a PhD in Psychology from Universitas Tyrnaviensis and has been affiliated with the university since 2009.
His research focuses on humor styles (particularly benevolent and corrective humor), Type D personality (social inhibition and negative affectivity), gelotophobia, and internet addiction. He has contributed to cross-cultural psychometric studies and explored the interplay of personality traits in problematic internet use.

- Scientific co-worker in projects on internet addiction, media habits, and child protection
His recent publications analyze humor in relation to life satisfaction across 25 countries and its role in media/television contexts. He is a member of the International Society for Humor Studies and serves on editorial boards.

He has conducted research visits at the University of Zurich and the University of Notre Dame, expanding his work on humor dimensions and their practical applications.
