Southern Methodist Universityمعرفی
Ryszard Stroynowski is a Professor of Physics at Southern Methodist University (SMU), with a career spanning prestigious institutions such as CERN, the Stanford Linear Accelerator Center (SLAC), and Caltech. He joined SMU in 1991 and has been instrumental in experimental high-energy particle physics research.
- Ph.D. in Physics, University of Geneva (1973)
- Staff Scientist at SLAC (6 years)
- Senior Research Associate and Lecturer at Caltech (11 years)
His research focuses on the structure of matter, quantum chromodynamics, and the discovery of new physics phenomena through the ATLAS experiment at CERN's Large Hadron Collider. He contributed to the 2012 discovery of the Higgs boson, which underpinned the Nobel Prize awarded to Englert and Higgs. Currently, he explores Higgs boson properties and ultra-fast optoelectronics for advanced data transfer in particle experiments.
