Ryne Beeson

Ryne Beeson serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at Princeton University, based in D434 Engineering Quadrangle with support from Faculty Assistant Ping Yan.

Professor Beeson's research integrates Control Theory, Robotics, and Dynamical Systems to develop numerical optimization methods for global trajectory planning, particularly for low-thrust spacecraft in complex environments. His work extends to nonlinear filtering theory, applying stochastic systems and machine learning to solve high-dimensional challenges in spacecraft navigation, space situational awareness, and space weather estimation.

He directs The Beeson Group advancing these methodologies. Prior academic industry experience includes senior research roles at CU Aerospace L.L.C. developing trajectory software and research divisions at Caterpillar Inc.
