Ryan Westphal

Ryan Westphal is an Assistant Professor in the Economics Department at Brandeis University. His research focuses on Industrial Organization, Behavioral Economics, and Household Finance, employing diverse methodologies to address questions about consumer behavior, market competition, and policy impacts. He has published recent work on topics such as mortgage refinancing, the illusion of competition, and commitment devices in consumer decision-making.
