Ryan Wells is a Professor in the Department of Educational Policy, Research & Administration (EPRA) at the University of Massachusetts Amherst and Director of the Center for Student Success Research. His work focuses on college access, equity, and success for marginalized student populations, particularly those affected by socioeconomic status, disability, and geographic location. He has secured funding from organizations including the National Science Foundation, Spencer Foundation, and Ford Foundation. Wells holds a B.S. from Iowa State University (1995), an M.A. from the University of Iowa (2004), and a Ph.D. from the University of Iowa (2008). He teaches courses such as EDUC 614 (Access and Equity in Higher Education) and EDUC 676 (Secondary Data Analysis).
