Ryan Terrien

Ryan Terrien is an Associate Professor of Physics and Astronomy at Carleton College, serving since 2017. He holds a MS and PhD from The Pennsylvania State University. His research focuses on exoplanet detection and characterization, particularly through advanced instrumentation like the Habitable Zone Planet Finder (HZPF) and NEID spectrograph. He teaches courses including ASTR 110 (Introduction to Astronomy), ASTR 394 (Directed Research), and PHYS 342 (Contemporary Experimental Physics). His work involves precision radial velocity measurements to identify exoplanets and study stellar dynamics.
