Ryan Tan Runyan

Ryan Tan Runyan is an Adjunct Lecturer at the Department of Analytics and Operations (DAO) within the NUS Business School. With over 15 years of industry experience, he specializes in process optimization through digitalization, data science, AI, and machine learning. His professional background spans Singapore, the US, Europe, and Australia across both large corporations and startups.

Ryan holds an MSc in Machine Learning (Computer Science and Engineering) from KTH Royal Institute of Technology (2020), alongside a BEng in Industrial and Systems Engineering and a BBA, both from NUS (2011) with First Class Honours. His research focuses on uncertainty estimation in Generative AI models and decoding strategies, while his teaching emphasizes Generative AI and Deep Learning applications in business contexts.

He has been recognized with the NUS Outstanding Undergraduate Researcher Prize (2011) and a 2024 commendation for teaching excellence. Ryan collaborates actively on industry projects and is available for academic-industrial partnerships.
