Dr. Ryan V. Scherber is an Assistant Professor of Music Education and Director of Bands at Case Western Reserve University, where he oversees undergraduate and graduate music education coursework, the Tuba & Euphonium Studio, and the Bands program. He also serves as Instructor of Tuba and Euphonium in the Joint Music Program at the Cleveland Institute of Music and as Assistant Director of Florida State University Summer Music Camps.

Research & Teaching Focus: Dr. Scherber investigates pitch perception, nonverbal behaviors, and teacher effectiveness in music education. His work has been published in journals like Research Perspectives in Music Education and presented at conferences including NAfME Biennial National Conference and Desert Skies Symposium on Research in Music Education. Prior to his current roles, he taught music at elementary, middle, and high school levels in South Charleston, Ohio.
