Ryan Niemeyer

Ryan Niemeyer is an Associate Professor of K-12 Educational Leadership and Assistant Provost for Regional Campuses at the University of Mississippi. He holds leadership roles in academia and administration, including former service as Director of the Mississippi Teacher Corps and Director of the University of Mississippi Grenada Center.

• Education: B.S. Sports Administration (University of Southern Mississippi, 1996), M.Ed. Educational Administration (University of Southern Mississippi, 2001), Ph.D. Education (University of Mississippi, 2008)

His research focuses on school administration and education policy, with professional memberships in the Education Law Association, the Southern Political Science Association, and the Oxford–Ole Miss Rotary Club (serving as Club President). He has 10 years of K–12 teaching and administrative experience in Mississippi public and private schools, alongside 14 years in the Mississippi Army National Guard as a Captain.

Recognized with the School of Education’s Exemplary Service Award (2016) for his work in teacher training programs. Advises on educational leadership initiatives and contributes to policy discussions through interdisciplinary collaborations.
