Ryan Lindsay is a Professor of Practice at the Brown School of Washington University in St. Louis, where he chairs, teaches, and advises students in the Mental Health concentration of the Master of Social Work program. With over 20 years of experience in mental health, he specializes in evidence-based treatments including Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Prolonged Exposure Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing.

Lindsay focuses on expanding community access to evidence-based programs, suicide prevention in schools, and competency development for mental health professionals. His work spans diverse populations, from adolescents to construction workers, emphasizing culturally responsive approaches. He co-founded Sparlin Mental Health in 2009 and leads the Hope Policy Academy for school-based suicide prevention.
He has received the Missouri Suicide Prevention Innovation Award for his statewide efforts in suicide prevention and serves on the leadership team of the St. Louis Regional Suicide Prevention Coalition. Lindsay actively collaborates on training initiatives to strengthen mental health provider workforces.
