Ryan Jablonski

Dr. Ryan Jablonski is an Associate Professor of Political Science at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), affiliated with the Department of Government. His research focuses on the politics of public service delivery in low-income democracies, particularly examining how politicians and voters process information about foreign aid, service provision, and political accountability. He holds a Ph.D. and M.A. in Political Science from the University of California, San Diego.

Key research interests include foreign aid dynamics, corruption in public procurement, electoral accountability, and the intersection of technology with governance. His work often employs field experiments, such as studies in Malawi and Uganda, to evaluate how information dissemination impacts political decision-making and voter behavior.

Recent studies include analyzing the effects of aid transparency on public spending (Malawi), the role of SMS-based information in Ugandan elections, and experimental evaluations of medicine theft in healthcare systems. His research has been published in top journals like American Political Science Review and Journal of Development Economics.
