Ryan Haggard is an Instructor and Department Chair in the Parks and Recreation Management Department at Southwest Oklahoma State University (SWOSU), where he has been employed since 1996. He transitioned to faculty in 2004, following his role as Adventure Programming Specialist for SWOSU Adventure Programs.
- Education: Bachelor of Science in Recreation Therapy and Master of Education in Health, Physical Education, and Recreation from SWOSU.
- Professional Expertise: Specializes in adventure-based education and outdoor safety, certified through training programs like NOLS Wilderness Rock Climbing, PADI SCUBA Instructor, and Wilderness First Responder.
- Teaching Responsibilities: Offers courses in ropes course facilitation, SCUBA, archery, backpacking, whitewater rafting, wilderness survival, and emergency response.
