Ryan Guggenmos

Ryan Guggenmos is Associate Professor of Accounting at the University of South Carolina's Darla Moore School of Business. He teaches managerial accounting in the Professional MBA program and conducts research on judgment and decision-making in accounting contexts. An award-winning educator, he received Cornell University's Class of 1992 Apple Award for Teaching Excellence.

His research examines how accounting professionals and users make judgments about financial disclosures, with recent publications on non-GAAP earnings, theory testing methodologies, and mobile investment apps. He maintains active collaborations on cognitive aspects of financial reporting and serves on editorial boards for leading accounting journals including The Accounting Review and Contemporary Accounting Research.
