Ruth Woods

Dr. Ruth Woods is a Research Scientist at the Department of Interdisciplinary Studies of Culture within the Faculty of Humanities at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology. Her research focuses on sustainability transitions in built environments, with particular emphasis on energy justice, living labs, and social dimensions of sustainability. She actively contributes to major research initiatives like the Research Centre on Zero Emission Neighbourhoods (FME ZEN) and the EU-funded ARV project.

Woods investigates how energy policies impact vulnerable populations and develops participatory approaches to sustainable transitions through citizen engagement and public art interventions. Her work combines technical and social perspectives to create equitable solutions for low-carbon societies.
